- He's generally really chill and likes to go with the flow of things. He's not in any rush to go anywhere.
- He doesn't mind when unexpected things come up, but prefers when things don't change.
- Monty's not very motivated to do much. He feels that he's satisfied where he's with in his life (all he really cares about is flying), so trying new things is kind of difficult.
- Monty isn't quick to judge others. When he was younger, he used to agree with his friends or what other people saw, but then he started realizing how silly some of their worries were--especially when it came to people. This is evident when Monty first met Ridley, and when he grew close with his sister Cora.

- Monty is a steamboat pilot! He's been born to become one as his dad always wanted him to continue the family tradition. When his parents first got married, they were hoping for a boy, so Daddy Fulton bought a brand spankin' new steamboat for the anticipation of the birth of their son! When Daddy Fulton realized that Mommy Fulton delivered a girl, he was so disappointed and did not bond with the daughter at all.
- Finally, a few years later, the two tried again and Clermont was born! The father exclaimed in joy, as he realized that his steamboat legacy will continue on, and that the money spent on a new steamboat was, fortunately, not thrown away!
- Monty tried his best to encourage Cora in doing great things!!! He didn't see why his parents were so upset with having her!
- When he was a child, he was the first of his group to accept a challenge. And it turned out well (he met Ridley!), so since then, he hasn't said no to a challenge, even though he's been warned that it'll be the death of him. He doesn't care, as long as he's doing what he wants for himself.
